In case there is anyone out there who does not know the name Michael Franti, let me introduce you to the singer/activist/humanitarian who I think is one of the most inspiring people on the planet. Oh, and his music, along with Spearhead, is fantastic, too.

One of my favourite radio programs on CBC, Tapestry, did an extensive interview with Franti that I urge you to listen to. If you need some motivation in your day, this is the source.

I listened to the podcast via the CBC website the morning after returning from Russia this week. I had been up since 3:30am because of jet lag, and felt like I could and would move a mountain if necessary after listening to Mary Hynes’ interview. His insights and ideas and humble nature gave me a clarity that stayed with me the entire day.

Check it out!
