PICTORAL REVIEW OF CLIMBING EXTRAVAGANZA DAY#5: WESTGARD PASS AND SHULMAN GROVE

Bishop, California

Four hours of climbing and just over 6000 feet of elevation gain made for a tough day in the saddle. It was our first foray of this climbing extravaganza into the Inyo Mountains and the temperature could not have been more perfect. Instead of writing about this wonderful ride, I thought I would show you a bit of what it’s like to spend a day with Peter, Kathleen Nelson and a guest appearance by another good friend Brian Cashore. What fun!!

Wild Primrose on the side of the road- this delicate flower turns pink when it begins to close after it’s had enough sun

a miracle in the desert- water! It was refreshing to soak our heads in the cold water in the heat of the day
