Lindsay Staniforth Design

I love jewelry. Especially hand made, unique pieces that never fail to peak people’s curiosity when I wear it. There are a few boutiques in Calgary where I find Canadian made conversation pieces that I wear with pride. One such artist is Lindsay Staniforth. She is based in Vancouver, BC, and her necklaces and earrings are some of my favorites.

With my good friend and former teammate Petra Rossner last summer in China at the Olympics (I was there working for CBC) wearing one of my favorite necklaces from Lindsay.

I wore one of Lindsay’s necklaces in a few ‘Do You Know Me’ spots that CTV put together. A friend let her know that they saw ‘an Olympic speed skater wearing one of her necklaces’ on one such video that was played at the movie theatre before the main show.

Linsday contacted me and was sweet enough to send me a special necklace for ‘good luck’ in Vancouver.

Check out Lindsay’s work here and see for yourself.

Also, I encourage everyone to support local Canadian artists. The arts are as important (or even more important) than sport and we should proudly support them!

Thanks, Linsday!

I found Lindsay’s necklaces and earrings at Purr boutique in Calgary (there is one on 17th Ave SW and also one in Kensington)
